# Turn on the Brandye app embed

> The app embed loads Brandye on your storefront. Without it, nothing shows.

Shopify asks every app that shows something on your storefront to use an app embed. Turning it on is the one step only you can take, in your theme editor.

## Turn it on

1. In your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** > **Themes**.
2. Click **Customize** on your live theme.
3. Open **App embeds** in the left sidebar.
4. Turn on **Brandye** and click **Save**.

The Brandye app home shows whether the embed is on.

## If you change themes

App embeds belong to a theme. When you publish a new theme, turn the Brandye embed on again in that theme.

> **Warning:** Previewing a theme with the embed off shows your store without Brandye, even if your live theme has it on.

## Still nothing on your store?

- Check that you saved the theme after turning the embed on.
- Check that the quiz, assistant, or product questions you expect are turned on in Brandye.
- Open your store in a private window, so an old cached page does not hide the change.
